Austin Under 40 (Au40) is a premiere awards event honoring Austin’s most prominent business and community leaders under the age of 40. Since 1998, Austin’s Young Women’s Alliance (YWA) and Young Men’s Business League (YMBL) have joined forces to recognize young Austinites who excel in their respective professions and exhibit a solid commitment to community service. The event also raises money for the charities supported by both YWA and YMBL—the YWA Foundation and the YMBL Austin Sunshine Camps.

Austin Under 40 is an extraordinarily popular event which has sold out in prior years and will likely do so again in 2008. Through strategic partnerships with local media, we have promoted our sponsors to local television and radio audiences as well as through various printed publications. We also offer superior recognition at the event itself—we actively promote our sponsors to an audience of 600 guests, each of whom has great potential for decision-making and influence within their respective companies and organizations.

On March 7, 2008, professional Austinites will gather at the newly renovated Austin Music Hall to honor our best and brightest. We will recognize leaders in ten categories and select the "Austinite of the Year" from this elite group. The "Austinite of the Year" possesses an unmatched dedication, passion and spirit to create opportunities and make the impossible, possible.
